Project Summary

  • Why did they want the remodel – This project took place in a large luxury home in Eagle, where the homeowners wanted to update and personalize the upstairs spaces for their daughter. Their goals included remodeling her existing bathroom, transforming the adjacent bonus room into a spacious walk-in closet with additional storage, and refreshing the nearby hall bathroom as well. The client came to us prepared, bringing inspiration books and design ideas that helped establish the look and feel she wanted early in the process. From there, our design team worked to translate those concepts into a functional, cohesive plan that matched both her style and the home’s architecture.
  • Design Challenges/Our solutions – The primary design challenge involved the plumbing layout. Any changes to the fixture locations risked interfering with a large coffered ceiling directly below—an architectural detail the homeowners definitely wanted to preserve. To avoid compromising the ceiling, we carefully reworked the bathroom floor plan so the new fixtures remained within an area that allowed proper plumbing routes without penetrating the coffered sections. This adjustment kept the design clean, functional, and fully aligned with the family’s vision while respecting the constraints of the structure.
  • Construction Challenges/Our solutions – Construction came with its own set of logistical hurdles. Because the remodel was located on the second story and deep within the home, access was one of the largest challenges. Hauling debris out and bringing tools, materials, and equipment required significant time and care. To protect the home’s finishes, we fully wrapped walls and flooring along the path of travel and set up a dedicated workspace in an adjacent room to minimize disruption. Another obstacle arose when we moved a window in the upstairs bathroom, which required re-stuccoing a portion of the exterior wall. A large tree stood directly in front of the area, preventing us from setting up standard scaffolding. To solve this, we rented a man lift, allowing our team to navigate around the tree safely and complete the stucco work without compromising the exterior finish.
  • What makes the project unique? – One of the standout features of this project is the size and function of the new walk-in closet. The bonus room already existed, but by fully finishing it and integrating it into the bathroom suite, we were able to create an expansive, boutique-style closet with generous storage and personalized organization. Combined with the updated bathrooms, the new space feels custom, thoughtful, and perfectly tailored to the homeowner’s needs—turning an ordinary layout into something truly special.
